पटेल, सतवरा, अहिर, मुस्लिम, दलित और क्षत्रिय बहुल इस सीट पर हार्दिक को घेरने के लिए बीजेपी ने पूरी तैयारी कर ली है। बीजेपी की कोशिश सभी जातियों से वोट हासिल करना है। वर्ष 2017 के विधानसभा चुनाव में जामनगर की 7 विधानसभा सीटों में से 4 पर कांग्रेस ने जीत हासिल की थी। बीजेपी को केवल 3 सीट से संतोष करना पड़ा था। इस शानदार प्रदर्शन के कारण कहा जा रहा है कि हार्दिक पटेल जामनगर से चुनाव लड़ सकते हैं। हालांकि हार्दिक या कांग्रेस ने अभी कोई ऐलान नहीं किया है।
इस बीच हार्दिक और कांग्रेस पार्टी को सोमवार को जामनगर से तगड़ा झटका लगा। जामनगर ग्रामीण सीट से विधायक वल्लभ धारविया ने कांग्रेस का ‘हाथ‘ छोड़ बीजेपी का दामन थाम लिया। धारविया सतवरा समुदाय से आते हैं। जामनगर लोकसभा सीट पर इस समुदाय के करीब डेढ़ लाख मतदाता हैं। जातिगत गणित को अपने पक्ष में करने के लिए बीजेपी ने कुछ दिन पहले ही जामनगर से विधायक धरमसिंह जडेजा को राज्य की विजय रुपाणी सरकार में मंत्री बना दिया।
जडेजा जामनगर के एक बेहद प्रभावशाली क्षत्रिय नेता हैं। यही नहीं क्षत्रिय समुदाय से ही आने वाली क्रिकेटर रविंद्र जडेजा की पत्नी रिवाबा जडेजा भी बीजेपी में शामिल हो गई हैं। वह करणी सेना से भी जुड़ी हैं। बीजेपी ने अहिर समुदाय से आने वाले दिग्गज नेता और जूनागढ़ जिले के मानवदार सीट से कांग्रेस एमएलए जवाहर चावड़ा को गुजरात सरकार में कैबिनेट मंत्री बना दिया है। चावड़ा के बीजेपी में आने से सौराष्ट्र क्षेत्र में बीजेपी की ओबीसी समुदाय में पकड़ बढ़ेगी। इसी इलाके में जामनगर, जूनागढ़ और पोरबंदर लोकसभा सीट आती है।
यही नहीं बीजेपी की वर्तमान सांसद पूनम मैडम भी अहिर समुदाय से आती हैं। पूनम ने वर्ष 2014 में कांग्रेस की विक्रम मैडम को 175289 वोटों से हराया था। बता दें कि कांग्रेस पार्टी साल 2009 और 2004 में जामनगर सीट से जीत चुकी है। हालांकि बीजेपी भी यहां से वर्ष 1989 से 1999 तक लगातार पांच बार जीत चुकी है। दरअसल, हार्दिक के इस सीट से लड़ने के पीछे एक खास वजह है।
हार्दिक पटेल आर्थिक और राजनीतिक रूप से बेहद मजबूत कडवा पटेल समुदाय से आते हैं। पटेलों के लिए आरक्षण आंदोलन चलाने के कारण उनका कडवा पटेलों पर अच्छा प्रभाव था। हालांकि केंद्र की नरेंद्र मोदी सरकार ने पिछले दिनों समाज के आर्थिक रूप से पिछड़े तबकों को 10 फीसदी आरक्षण देकर हार्दिक की मांग को कमजोर कर दिया था। इसके अलावा कडवा पटेलों को साधने के लिए हाल ही में अहमदाबाद में उनकी कुल देवी की मूर्ति की स्थापना के दौरान पीएम मोदी के कार्यक्रम में उन्हें बुलाया गया था।
