मेरठ का जल्लाद ही देगा निर्भया के दोषियों को फांसी

लखनऊ (साई)। निर्भया के दोषियों की फांसी की तारीख सामने आने के बाद एक और अड़चन भी हल हो गई है। फांसी पर लटकाने के लिए जिस जल्लाद की तलाश थी, वह उत्तर प्रदेश के मेरठ में जाकर खत्म हुई है। मेरठ के पवन ही निर्भया के दोषियों को 22 जनवरी को सुबह सात बजे फांसी पर लटकाएंगे। यूपी सरकार ने तिहाड़ जेल प्रशासन की सिफारिश पर अपनी मंजूरी दे दी है।

बता दें कि मंगलवार को निर्भया रेप कांड के चारों दोषियों की फांसी की तारीख मुकर्रर होने के बाद सवाल था कि उन्हें फांसी देने के लिए जल्लाद कौन होगा? इस पर बुधवार को यूपी सरकार के कारागार राज्य मंत्री जय कुमार सिंह ने कहा, ‘तिहाड़ जेल प्रशासन ने निर्भया के दोषियों को फांसी की खातिर मेरठ के जल्लाद की सेवाएं लेने के लिए लिखा था। हमने उन्हें इसकी अनुमति दे दी है।‘

मंगलवार को दिल्ली की पटियाला हाउस कोर्ट ने निर्भया केस के चारों दोषियों की फांसी पर अपना अंतिम फैसला सुनाते हुए उनकी फांसी का दिन 22 जनवरी मुकर्रर किया था। 22 जनवरी को सुबह सात बजे इन सभी दोषियों को फांसी दी जाएगी। जेल के अधिकारियों ने जल्लाद की सेवा लेने के लिए यूपी जेल को पत्र भी लिखा था, जिसे राज्य सरकार ने अब मंजूरी दे दी है।

‘चारों दोषियों को एक साथ फांसी देने के पर्याप्त इंतजाम‘

तिहाड़ जेल के एक अधिकारी ने बताया, ‘हमने मेरठ के जल्लाद की मांग की है। जेल में चारों दोषियों को एक साथ फांसी देने के लिए हमारे पास पर्याप्त इंतजाम हैं।‘ उन्होंने बताया कि फिलहाल, चारों दोषी जेल में हैं और उनमें से तीन दोषियों को जेल नंबर 2 में रखा गया है जबकि एक दोषी को जेल नंबर चार में रखा गया है।

दोषियों को फांसी पर लटकाने के संबंध में मेरठ के रहने वाले जल्‍लाद पवन ने बताया कि वह इसके लिए पूरी तरह से तैयार हैं। हालांकि, पवन जल्लाद ने बताया कि जेल प्रशासन की ओर से किसी ने अभी उनसे संपर्क नहीं किया है। अगर उन्हें आदेश मिलता है तो वह निश्चित रूप से जाएंगे। पवन जल्लाद ने कहा कि यह (दोषियों को फांसी) निश्चित रूप से मेरे लिए, निर्भया के माता-पिता के लिए और हर किसी के लिए बड़ी राहत की बात है।
